Johnnie Maier: Another DINO?

We're makin' a list, checkin' it twice . . . Gonna be handy when the dust settles after Nov. 8 and we see what double-talking douchebags clothed in Democratic duds need a little pay-back.

Got Jimmy Dimora on the list!

Got Susan Gwinn on it, too!

Hey, wait! Gotta make room for another doucheroo: Johnny Maier, former state legislator and current chair of the Stark Co. Dems.

We hear that Johnnie (no self-respecting adult except for comedians and baseball players call themselves Johnnie) has been beating the anti-RON drums in his little fiefdom.

Before we get into that, let us digress into the cesspool that is the Stark County website. Seriously, can someone explain to us what the purpose of a county party website is if it can't even promo its own endorsed candidates and issues? Even worse is SCDP calendar page. Hey look - Nov. 8! WTF? Oh, it looks like someone forget that it was election day. It's so easy to do when you're busy.

And speaking of busy, Chairman Johnnie has been busy trying sabotage Issues 2, 3, 4, 5. How? Like suggesting to those interested in volunteering for RON that they want to reconsider their interest if they want to work with the SCDP in the future. Like planting people in the audience of RON information meetings to ask what Chairman Johnnie thinks about Issues 2-5 so that Maier can jump up in response and spew his garbage on the RON amendments.

Isn't this the same Johnnie Maier who clung to his own laughable congressional ambitions to assume the throne of Ralph Regula whenever that old fart retired - an ambition so out of control that he'd rather keep Ralph in office than pull out the stops to help Regula's Democratic opponent Jeff Seeman last year.

And, since we hear that Maier's lust for the OH-16 seat still burns, progressives and ODP rank-and-filers may have their opportunity to payback Maier by denying him the nomination - and by getting him yanked from the SCDP chair.
