Deb's world

Pollyanna is going to have another conniption. From the Dayton Biz Journal:
Ohio's mass layoffs increased this November from the same time last year, and the Buckeye state ranked fifth in the nation for having the most initial unemployment claims that month.

The state ranked fourth in the nation for having the most claims (100,106) from January to November, according to a news release Thursday from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

California had the most layoffs in November, and for the first 11 months of the year. Ohio had 5,607 claims in November, compared with 4,219 last November and 4,820 in October and 2,400 in September.

Ohio employers initiated 52 mass layoff events in November, up from 49 last November and from 33 this October and 21 this September.
